COPENHAGEN, Denmark, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- American rock band Metallica is to perform "The Black Album" in its entirety at a concert in June at Denmark's former Horsens Prison, organizers said.

The Copenhagen Post reported the group will take the stage at Prison, a new music venue established at the old jailhouse, which can accommodate an audience of 40,000 people.

Metallica is scheduled to play songs from its most commercially successful album at the June 6 show, the Post said.

The band's drummer, Lars Ulrich, was born and raised in Gentofte before moving to the United States in 1980.

"Back to the fatherland. After five great concerts in Forum in the summer of '09, we shall meet again with our Danish friends, inaugurate a new concert venue in Horsens, play 'The Black Album' in its entirety, and even serve a stint in jail!" the newspaper quoted Ulrich as saying. "I'm as excited as a little kid. See you in June."

What if Cradle Performs Dusk or Principle? ;) yeah I know, Just kidding on that, what else can I (we) say.

Old news, they are doing it at a number of shows next summer including the UK!

WOW ... Abrahadabra - Dimmu Borgir box set $17:50 half price says the email from CMDistro and Nuclear Blast USA. Put in basket, is happy and ...

Once again NOT AVAILABLE IN YOUR COUNTRY. Same for ED 2CD and Tee! I fucking hate NB (Century Media) and the quicker Cradle get away from these US distro's the better!

ADreamofWolves have you seen this?

Yeah I have already, but thanks. It sounds killer already. Nice guitar riff and some great keys it sounds like already.

I didn't even realize they were making a new album yet. Wonder if its going to be orchestrated again?

It's their 20th anniversary next year, so they are. Hopefully not. I don't think it will. It's good to have an orchestra and choir for one album, but then it's overkill if they keep doing it on other albums.

Theres also whispers, they are going to re-release all their albums in special new boxsets with extra's, video's, interviews and expanded booklets ;)

Plastichead mail order! One of Europe's biggest Metal suppliers!, been using them for years! They are the company that did the Emperor boxsets! One of my mates works for them. They along with Nuclear Blast are looking at options at the moment which may include a deluxe 20th Anniversary boxset with all the albums in it in very special packaging! Judging by Dimmu's last few very limited special editions a boxset of everything could be amazing! ;)

If I had the income I would maybe check these out, but definately not happening since I own all their albums already.

dimmu did it again on wacken, the people did respond on a good way to them (sorry but speaking the truth better than the cradle's audience).
