why a *sigh*,you dont like dimmu?
No, I love Dimmu. I just don't see how Dimmu keeps pulling off amazing things, while Cradle seems to be planning nothing big!

o i see, well they have a dvd coming with extra this and that and im not sure how ling it will be for another show, damage control after that france show imo

I wouldn't say these are amazing stunts for the band. Yes, it was cool that they did an orchestral performance. Cradle really wouldn't be able to do that because their music doesn't really fit with huge orchestration except in some areas. Plus, who would want to perform and be freaked out by the band they are playing along with, if Cradle was that band?

I think it's a really cool idea for a one-time thing to have fans pick what they want to hear. Especially their first three albums; The first two I don't think are all that great. Although it's I think it's nice of them to do show where their fans from the beginning can enjoy and it can be a celebration for the band in a way.

I think it would be awesome if Cradle were able to do something like this as well. It could be voting on songs or whole album from Principle to Cruelty, since we never hear many of their songs anymore except the main tracks.

Come on.. They can't be scared of playing with Cradle, if they pulled off playing with Dimmu. Who are far more satanic than Cradle.

And yes, it would be amazing if Cradle could pull off something like this, but the stuff they've been doing lately, I just never see it happening.

Imagine Cradle asking what of the first 3 albums would you like to see played in it's entirety? And then a SECOND set after that, of just entirely fan favorites, that the fans picked.  I just don't see it happening.

I am telling you, play Cradle of Filth to your grandparents or something and you'll see what I am talking about. They don't have to be Satanic, but the average person who'd probably think they are satanic, just by the sound of their music. Hell, my girlfriend was an example for me and the outcome was pointing fingers at me and the band saying we are satanic and worship the devil. Not a good outcome.

It probably won't happen, but would be awesome if it would.

No, I'm saying that an orchestra and choir would defiantly play with them, if they played with Dimmu. So, we wouldn't have to worry about that. The big problem is that Dimmu is far more symphonic than Cradle. And I don't think Cradle would pull it off, with an orchestra and choir playing behind them. I also don't think they have that much money either. Which is a bit surprising.

Well once we hear their Orchestral album we shall see if they will be able to play that live some how, if the orchestration closely follows the original tracks.

Definitely into Dimmu! That live orchestra show was awesome! Did you know Dimmu were nearly broke before their last release/tour and that live thing was a real gamble which seems to have paid off! Unfortunately, it would look like a copycat thing if Cradle tried it now, but they are also busy writing atm, we'll see after the next album is out, who knows by then.

Really? So the months before Abrahadabra was released, they were nearly broke? I wonder why. I guess In Sorte Diaboli performed badly. Dimmu probably has to pay a lot of money for all the orchestra's and choir's they used in the earlier albums. Still, I just feel like their entire concert atmosphere is much better overall than a Cradle concert, unfortunately, but I think it's true.

Oh fuck yes.

It's weird that they're playing some real shitholes like Stoke and Colchester, but not playing bigger cities like Southampton or Liverpool.  I'm not complaining though.

Which venue are you going to Sean?
