Okay considering the title of the other discussion is kind of dated. I am making this one so that it is more up to date and fresh for the new album. So Go ahead and start talking about it hear. :)

So far I think I am sad considering there isnt a beginning intro keyboard track to the album. :(
Man it was about time to do something different... c'mon every record has those. And there's some sort of intro on the first track, so... so far is sounding awesome.
Yeah it different, but I wish the beginning part dragged out longer and become more dramatic. Kind of like In Grandeur and Frankincense....where Gilles De Rais speaks his part the mood changes and you feel like you fall from grace

I think In Grandeur and Frankincense is the best intro they ever put... so I'm happy with that!

Y- You... This. I don't even.
Well, each to their own, but it's hard to believe for me. I mean... What about all the intros until 2000, especially At the Gates of Midian and Ebony dressed for Sunset?
I only like the Godspeed intro because of the Dusk-reference.

Anyway, the lack of actual intro on the new album is rather odd, almost disturbing, I think. This generic female intro speech is so shallow; it sounds like a mediocre gothic metal song.
I don't see Ebony dressed for sunset as a intro (even if it works like it). However Ebony is one of my fave of all time. At the gates of Midian is great, but not the best for me, so whatever.

And dude I'm sorry but the 'worst tracks' from older era were exactly the intros and the damn interludes... all songs from Principle-Cruelty were awesome but not these ones.
However I think Sin deep my wicked angel is fucking perfect. Actually CoF's instrumentals are getting better now... Tiffauges is awesome too.
Listened to The Cult of Venus Aversa a few times now and I've an opinion. IT'S FUCKING BRILLIANT. This is the album I've been waiting for since Damnation.
Well I think The new one is more dynamic... and it does its job of "bombastic/extreme" opener. The keyboards are quite better too.

I remember people saying Shat was like the worst track of Godspeed... perhaps people didn't like it cause it was 'just' fast.
Just listened to the full song. It's great!!
