How do you feel about Christian black metal? I personally am fine with it. I don't see why everybody seems to hate them, just because they don't share the same beliefs as hardcore, tr00, and kvlt satanists from around the world? The music is the same as regular black metal, and is as good or better than most current black metal bands. It really bothers me when people who are against Christianity, instantly hate this kind of music. No matter how good it may be (with many Christian black metal songs being VERY good), they might even like the song a lot!, but they just can't listen to it, JUST BECAUSE it's Christian, and then they have to insult the band, question the band members beliefs, and then send death threats to the band. It's ridiculous. Those people are so closed minded, it's really annoying.

This is one of my favorite songs from a Christian black metal band.

Xasthur's main basis for his lyrics is astral projection which is an "Occult" Science which is Anti Christian! ;)

You need to get yourself some good books on the Occult, and see where many bands get their references from and idea's. Just because a band doesn't talk about religion in lyrics or Anti Christian beliefs doesn't mean they aren't there. Like Cradle many bands use BM as a way to study other area's of The Occult which is against Christianity. :)

So, Xasthur is not black metal?

Christian Black Metal misses the entire point, it would be like starting a White Supremacist Hip Hop Act! or an all black African 13th Century style European Folk band!

Anyone who thinks Black Metal relates to the music utterly FAILS to grasp what Black Metal is! The music is irrelevant! BM is an ideology! A purely Anti Religious one! Someone who is a believer in God CANNOT get the true feelings BM is supposed to install! Yes there are lots of Cartoon bands screaming Satan, but there are just as many that take it deadly seriously and have over time formed a more grown up and intelligent approach to the genre such as Satyricon and Emperor.

Black Metal is Anti Religious. Without the Anti Religious aspect it's not Black Metal regardless of what the music sounds like!

Well, see there really is no "Christian metal"....or idk. Like if there is at the moment, it's basically using an already existing sub-genre: Death metal, Black metal, Tech-Death, whatever...

It's cool that it breaks a barrier that heavy metal doesn't have to be viewed as evil.

However, they have yet to be creative and come up with something that is not already there.

If there is Christian metal, well let's have Muslim metal, Hindu metal. Atheist metal? See it all sounds ridiculous.

Then you shouldn't have an issue with Christian metal then.

Why can't Christians make their own type of music or heavy metal? be creative?

White metal?

and @ADreamofWolves, I don't hate Christians. I do have a problem when they base their logic off of supernatural things and when they try to push it into political or serious issues.

Then what would you call it?

Although Death Metal, the point is they are pissing on BOTH Christianity and Islam, drawing on their own Persian Ahuramazda Mythos! The don't call themselves Zoroastrian BM though, they are not that silly!

"ARSAMES is an ancient death metal band from Iran (Mashhad) , formed in 2002 by frontman Ali Madarshahi. We are determined to prove that this kind of music is beyond the borders and are not designated to any geographical region in the world (especially the western countries) in contrast; Eastern music with its heavenly melodies can modify thrash death metal music to one of the best pieces of music in history."

Ahuramazda has great meaning to Tr00 Persians according to Thymalice on this Forum. See how they appear to know the differences to Black Metal since they use "religion" in their music.

The most famous of them all is Melechesh from Israel Kev, they even had an album cover designed by one of the Artists at Lusasfilms Industrial Light And Magic who is a big fan. Again they are anti Organised Religions and base much of their lyrics on Sumerian culture and rituals.
