What with the internet being so prominent in this day and age (it'd be pretty hard to post this discussion otherwise xD), digital downloads have become a mainstream and accessible way to get music, and to access a huge catalogue of music at that...

Question is, do you prefer buying the album physically in CD or vinyl format, or buying the mp3s off of iTunes or wherever else on the internet? Downloads may be cheaper and more convenient to some, but does it ever compare to the feel and superior sound quality of getting it physically? In my opinion, I've always preferred getting the CD if I can help it - nothing quite beats having the physical thing, album art and all. But what does everyone else think?

physical records
I prefer to get the actual CD/Vinyl etc. Doesn't feel like I'm actually "owning" the album before I have it. Maybe I'm too old-fashioned then :D
I definitely prefer to have the actual CD.
I prefer having a real CD.

If I download some music I don't pay for it. If I don't like it, I delete it, if I like it I buy the CD.
I prefer to own CD's.
Wow, I'm honestly impressed....in this 'gimme,gimme,gimme...no, I don't want to pay' generation.

I'm old school too, I love having the CD, reading the booklet, lyrics, who they're thanking or telling to f'k off this time etc. lol Its the whole experience.

Unfortunately, I do see a time where the music world is exclusively digital....and it will be a sad day indeed.
