From this I mean, can Cradle tread into territory that you wouldn't expect them too?
Like doing a concept on the Wild West....yes it is a joke, but could they?
Probably not since I am not sure Dani is a fan of that, but it would be interesting and if they incorporated it into their music too.
Concepts about war? So on and so forth. All I am trying to get at is, what can they do more with their music if they could.
They've obviously experimented with Damnation, Thornography, DDVA. Hell pretty much every album.
Now I am talking about, musically, lyricaly, and the attire they wear. Think of Cradle wearing pink and white. How would that be? People would probably damn them.
Anyways give some ideas or thoughts on what you think.

Permalink Reply by Lifestalker on January 7, 2011 at 15:57 Yeah I would like to see them do a more slower pace album or medium paced after DDVA. I mean they've had some on the past few album "The Death of Love" "Ten Leagues" "The Persecution Song".
I think they will change speed on the next album, I hope it is not "Harder, Brutal, and Faster" as DDVA I mean because they've already done that twice, so I am sure they will change the pace up with their next.
I want to see more experimental songs such as "Better to Reign in Hell" "Babylon AD" "Forgive Me Father".

I think they have experimented and treaded enough new territory for a lifetime now. Since, as you stated yourself, each and every Cradle album has brought something new, there wouldn't be any problem going back to the roots and still making something unique. An album placed somewhere between Midian and Dusk? Why not, there certainly is enough room.

Permalink Reply by House Atlantic on January 7, 2011 at 21:36 I really don't care about new or old territories or aesthetics. They could make an album about aliens or the 2012 mayan prophecy, as long as they recover the mysticism they lost after Cruelty and the Beast. Yeeesss i'm a nostalgic fan. :)

Anyway, keep bringing NEW sound! CoF is one of the very few bands that can pull this off.

If they stayed with Cruelty it would be boring, they have to change with time ... Cruelty is my personal favorite as most know but I enjoy each progression. I agree, they do move on well Hellhound :D
