I saw "Poltergeist" the other night after years, and it creeped me out. There is also a film called "The Nameless" wich I wasn't able to get my hands on since I saw it back in 2003. That one scared me so much I didn't sleep all night after watching it. I'd like to see it again to see if it still has the same effect.

I saw it when I was 10 or so and it wasn't scary even back then. Nowadays it's quite a comedy. I like it still since it was first horror movie I saw - if I remember correctly.
I have heard that "it" is a really scary movie to, but I was very dissapointed!! Am downloading the game amnesia dark descent, but I agree it looks pretty 90's with the graphics in the taster video
I just wonder who have said that It is really scary - at least nowadays anymore. Unless you have coulrophobia. That spider in the end is just hilarious.

It has its reputation because a lot of people saw it when they were kids (it was sort of billed as a kids horror TV special like Goosebumps or whatever), and while it's a bit tame now, I can imagine why it would scare a child witless.

Even watching it as a 20-year-old, there are still a few bits in there which I think are scarier than 99.9% of Hollywood films over the past 10 years.  It's a fun film, too.

The acting of the children is also far better than the acting of the adults, for some reason.
The acting of children in horror films I think is generally better than adults, but I also think that Hollywood horrors are getting worse as time goes on, sure the affects are getting better, but the ideas. They should remake some of the good classics, with the modern day affects, it could produce a really great horror film

A few of those child actors grew up to be ... actors.

But John Ritter was great (as always), and Tim Curry did well at being the clown.

The Exorcist used to freak me out as a child.

Well it sure as hell scared the crap out of me, and I don't scare so easily :P. I think it's a great horror game. The developers understood that it's a lot scarier to make you anticipate being attacked at any moment, but waiting for so long to actually attack you, building up tension, that when you're eventually attacked it's like you've taken an ounce of laxatives :P.

Plus it's one of the very few horror games that actually get's scarier the second time you play it.

I keep hearing about Amnesia The Dark Descent but never got round to getting it.  Is it really that good, though?  It looks pretty 90s doom from the footage I've seen.

Silent Hill 2 would often creep me out when I played it alone at night.

Maybe you should try playing a horror game, one in particular, it's called Amnesia 'the dark descent'. I think it might be a lot scarier if you actually get involved in the story in stead of just watching it on a tv screen. And if you play that game by yourself in a dark room, I guarantee you'll shit your pants ^^

The Birds it's an Oldie(1963) alferd hitchcock but that scared me lol you'll never look at crows the same way again!haha(saw this movie for the first time bout 10 yrs ago)

pet cematary creeped me out! by the way they are remaking that movie!

The soundtrack music is pretty damn good too. Definitely aids the atmosphere.
