There is also a film called "The Nameless" wich I wasn't able to get my hands on since I saw it back in 2003. That one scared me so much I didn't sleep all night after watching it. I'd like to see it again to see if it still has the same effect.

Permalink Reply by Nutsack of Filth on August 3, 2011 at 22:04 It has its reputation because a lot of people saw it when they were kids (it was sort of billed as a kids horror TV special like Goosebumps or whatever), and while it's a bit tame now, I can imagine why it would scare a child witless.
Even watching it as a 20-year-old, there are still a few bits in there which I think are scarier than 99.9% of Hollywood films over the past 10 years. It's a fun film, too.

Permalink Reply by Kylie Hesp on August 4, 2011 at 9:34 Well it sure as hell scared the crap out of me, and I don't scare so easily :P. I think it's a great horror game. The developers understood that it's a lot scarier to make you anticipate being attacked at any moment, but waiting for so long to actually attack you, building up tension, that when you're eventually attacked it's like you've taken an ounce of laxatives :P.
Plus it's one of the very few horror games that actually get's scarier the second time you play it.

I keep hearing about Amnesia The Dark Descent but never got round to getting it. Is it really that good, though? It looks pretty 90s doom from the footage I've seen.
Silent Hill 2 would often creep me out when I played it alone at night.
Kylie Hesp said:Maybe you should try playing a horror game, one in particular, it's called Amnesia 'the dark descent'. I think it might be a lot scarier if you actually get involved in the story in stead of just watching it on a tv screen. And if you play that game by yourself in a dark room, I guarantee you'll shit your pants ^^
