What do you guys think of the new Arch Enemy single. I'm very stoked for this release. It's been on replay a lot.

I have friends who listen to Arch Enemy and my sister likes some so I've heard them enough and still don't like them :D Weird enough don't really like death metal (can't name now one that I'd like) but more melodic death metal is ok (like Hypocrisy).

Carcass are just a much better band, in my opinion. I saw the two of them back-to-back at Bloodstock '09 and, whilst all the kiddie-winks and lesbians went mad for Arch Enemy, Carcass blew them off-stage. And I didn't even know much about Carcass at the time. The thing which annoys me the most about Arch Enemy is all this pseudo-anarchist bullshit in the lyrics and image, which really can't appeal to anyone over the age of 15 (except for some incredibly stupid people I know who still say things like "Viva la revolution"). Musically they're good, but they're dumb people. Angela was wearing a shirt simply saying "Fuck The Rules!" when I saw them - she'll pay for it one day.

Songs themselves aren't too bad, really. Arch Enemy were never really were my thing, I must admit.
Then again, I don't like much melodeath in general save for a few bands. Arch Enemy's flavour of melodeath always seemed a tad sugary for my liking.

LOL. I know, but like you said the music is just so damn good. Michael Amott is one my favorite guitarist of all time. They are a huge influence on me (musically) so that's my love for them. Plus they have Daniel which drums a lot like Adrian so it gives me comfort Haha. But he is owning his brother now...just saying
