Album/Song Comparison Forum
Alright so there's enough people out here comparing albums to albums and saying "This song sounds like it could have come from this album" and so on. The thing is that people get angry when comparisons are made because they say that Cradle is an ever changing band and what's done is done and a new "Dusk" will never be made. I respect both oppinions, so here is a place where people can compare albums and songs without criticism.

Personally I think
Godspeed sounds like Cruelty and Nymphetamine
Midian sounds like Thornography mixed with Dusk
Lilith Immaculate sounds like it could have come between Cruelty and Midian
A Gothic Romance sounds like a real heavy Iron Maiden could have done
Vempire sounds like what it is: A mix of Principle and Dusk

Eh.. they've all got their own sound really. An impressive thing to do.
We could compare the albums while on a road trip to ultima Thule; but in the end they're all Cradle of Filth albums- must I finish this sentence without directly saying what I mean to imply?

But why persist in comparing when you are doing that within the boundaries of Cradle of Filth's own albums? A road not worth taking.

Not trying to sound rude, but Idk about saying an old album sounding like a new one??lol :D
I havent heard people say that yet. More like the new albums sound like the older ones.
Kind of like saying My Father looks like Me, but really I look like my Father. :)

Thornography has a Dusk/Midian/New sound to it.
Nymphetamine reminds me of Old Greek Mythologies
Damnation has its own sound and captures what I feel the story should have sounded like with the orchestra oddly

Comparisons do not require chronological order. Regarding Midian as a mixture of Thornography and Dusk... is not even a bad idea. The entire atmosphere changing from the rather black, gothic Dusk... to the almost rock-like Thornography saw Midian as a mixture with both elements included to the same extent.
