I hate when dumbasses state that because they like "older album X" that somehow they have more passion and are more of a fan than person who likes "newer album y". Pure fucking idiocy.  An opinion or feeling towards a disreable thing in life has nothing to do with that egomaniacal , childish, and retard shit disguised as elitism.
Why did you reply to that post by me? I wasn't talking about anything of what you said..

I can't choose.

Bathory Aria is, if you so want, the softest song on that album ‒ or at least the most melodic. :P
And A Dream of Wolves in the Snow is… Well, not really an instrumental, but I wouldn't call it a song representing its album, either.

Don't worry, really. There is no need to vindicate your tastes. In time, you will most likely get to love their old works as much as their new ones and, perhaps, even prefer the early material ultimately. Musical hardness is something one has to get used to, not even the "truest" kvlt black metal fan listened to Endstille in their cradle (unless they had somewhat special parents).

I just stumbled over Nymphetamine, because it appeared first, when I typed in Cradle on Youtube, when I wanted to try their music. At first I was more attracted by the female voice. And it has an incredible melody that goes in your ears and will stay there until you are a real fan.

I also love very much "A Dream of Wolves in the snow". Is this old enough? Why should the old songs be harder?

I think the hardness is more a question of the background story. So I find Cruelty and the Beast the hardest. I disliked this album at first, but the Bathory Aria trapped me.

Don't be making fun of my song..    >:(

I agree that is what introduced me to cradle!:)

Queen of Winter, Throned. Hands down.
Any… interesting, friendly music? By Cradle or in general? The ultimate rule seems to be that most of the bands, if their musical hardness changes, get softer. At least that was the case for Dimmu Borgir (or so I've been told), Gorgoroth, Marduk, Mayhem, Alcest (very much so), Lantlôs, partially Dark Funeral and, most notably, Cradle themselves. If you really love Nymphetamine, just go with anything labeled "gothic metal" (such as Theatre of Tragedy, Epica, Sirenia, bit of Nightwish), but I'd strongly recommend you to keep on exploring Cradle. Once you can enjoy songs like Lord Abortion, you're on your way to like the rougher, older stuff. And once you love Queen of Winter, Throned, you should know what this band once was like.

Well… Of course, the music doesn't get softer no matter how many times you listen to it. All that changes is, as you said, your perception of it.

I have to disagree with the sophisticated part, actually. There are many reasons, but just look at the lyrics of the old songs. I mean, really…

Hmm, could be. But might better be suited for a private conversation or a new topic. :P

Just a superficial impression. To be honest I´m only a consumer and not a scientist...

I think we could discuss for hours about our perception phantasies... could be interesting...

Still don't know why people bring up months old topics..
They're new perhaps... let them be man. ^^
