honey and sulfur meaning
Well i been reading the lyrics of this song and i kind of get what it is about and how the video relates to it and where in the story the song fits.
basically it talks about Gilles men among other things and at some point Dani compares them to wolves that's why you see wolves in the video and why the song begins with the line "Praeclarum Custodem Ovium Lupum " which means:An excellent protector of sheep, the wolf",also the girls and the guy playing in the field represent little kids even though they don't look little at all and the chicks are really hot (random comment).

Brittle angels out to pasture once again"
De Sille was related somehow to Gilles de Rais,in fact his full name was Gilles de Sille. Prelati was the italian boy who tricked Gilles to believe in Barron and also the man who Gilles fell in love with (yes he was gay) the reason why Gilles didn't kill him in the first place was because he loved him apparently. i couldn't really find much info on Bricqueville other than he was a messenger of Gilles at some point and also he was one the men who found Prelati in Italy and brought him to Gilles so that he could teach him how to invoke Barron.
For any one that's wondering what "Tiffauges" means, it is the village where Gilles lived and Château de Tiffauges is the actual castle where Gilles resided and committed all of his murders which right now is a museum and it is still there .You are welcome to visit it anytime lol.
Half way through the song there is a line that kind of left me wondering why all of the sudden Dani starts talking about a woman other than Joan of arc.
"And though she walks the forest trails
She's far from innocent or frail
She leads them down the path where darkness dwells"
and its that some people believe that there was a woman working for Gilles who would supply him with children. her name was "La Meffraye"

The first time I read it, I thought of how it related to Gilles De Rais himself. Honey is referred to as the "Food of the Gods" the Bible refers to it in "The Land of Milk and Honey" a food that signified the rich, godly and peaceful.
Then you move on to Sulfur, which the Bible referred to Hell with it. The smell of Hell alone. (Which sulfur is odorless... go figure) which naturally associates it with evil, the Devil and so on. It is also referred to as brimstone (If I remember correctly), with the whole "Fire and Brimstone" sermons in churches, which brings up the subject of eternal damnation for the non-believers, or unrepentant.
These two, I figure compared the two faces that Gilles De Rais was composed of. The "Sainted War Hero" and "Satanic Serial Killer" as he if referred to in the album.
Just my 2 cents about the name.

hell yeah this Tuesday at the sound accademy in Toronto, i have a friend in Florida that was gonna go see them but she cant so am gonna ask Dani to sign an autograph for her, and yes i bought a vip ticket again, im counting down the days.
