Vestal Masturbation/Jesus Is A Cunt T-Shirt
Has anyone ever been arrested for wearing that T-Shirt? Heres my story it was about 2am, I was leaving a nightclub when a police man came up to me and said "thats not a very nice T-Shirt is it?" "Don't buy it" was my reply. Anyway he took the shirt off me and a few months later i was in court charged with causing Harassment, Alarm or Distress (under the public order act). I plead not guilty, was found guilty and recieved a one year unconditional discharge plus costs. Anybody else?

Sounds pretty bad, but I'm still in love with my "Sucking corporate cock since 1996" shirt, which has also gotten me in some trouble. (Completely worth it.)

as a christian i'm not fond of the Jesus is a cunt shirt, but i find it distressing that anyone could be fined for wearing one. What happened to freedom of speech? Sure, it's my God, and I don't like seeing others disrespect my faith, but who am i to tell someone else they have to shut-up? I thought we were all free to express ourselves - which takes tolerance. The fact that cops beat up some kid for his t-shirt says a lot about the world we live in. well, fuck the police. let em' all rot in hell for all i care.

I can fully understand why you were found guilty for wearing it. Shirts like that, I feel people really take offense to. (Not the bullshit people claim offends so that they can get some attention).
In the U.S. at least, people take advantage of their "freedom of speech" and it is misinterpreted ALL the time. (Grant, I do not know how it is on the other side of the pond, just letting you know that is our problem. Idiots don't know how to interpret the constitution correctly) As long as shit does not lash out and antagonize people, than whatever. I do respect others beliefs.

me myself can't see what's wrong in wearing the t-shirt because you have these people who stand in town saying god is this god is that and yet that's ok? i reckon it's wrong people shud be allowed 2 express themselves in anyway they want as long as they are not pushing it in your face . it's not as though you were walking round going look at my t- shirt. why dont the police do there real job's and get all these killers and people like that off the street's

Exactly. If all that ignorant "god is great" shit is allowed why not the cool "Fuck God, Jesus Is A Cunt" type shit. I don't force shit like that to people if someone says something about my shirt I say "look away" this is America and freedom of speech really needs no explanation. You can say whatever you want. The old adage "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me" is true (at least for me) I don't throw hissy fits when some one calls me a spic or prairie nigger cause I have Mexican and Indian blood. So what, even if it's meant to be degrading or hateful, it is still just words. If I don't like said words I ignore it. That is something that is in no way hard to do. Too bad christians and minorities don't know how to ignore shit like that.
Actions are not freedom of speech, I mean actions that can actually hurt someone. I think there should only be one exception to freedom of speech, and that is speech (or words) that can cause a panic like shouting fire in a crowded place, people can get hurt in the panic. Shouting SPIC to someone aint gonna hurt nothing. Shouting God sucks aint gonna hurt nothing. Shouting the devil is a punk (I have seen christians with that on a shirt, like calling someone a punk is an insult, hell I have alot of punk friends) is not harmful either.

it cracks me up! and pisses me off... it was banned in england a while ago and was only recently banned in New Zealand (were im from) which is bull. i cant complain to much some people in the world would rather deny and protect others from such things so its not the greatest way to

I think it is political Correctness gone mad! People got arrested for the ''Bollocks to Blair'' T-shirts as well. Bloody ridiculous!! I think as long as people don't wear the shirt irresponsibly like to a church for example, then there should be no problem.
I cannot believe someone got beat up for wearing the shirt, not very ''Christian'' behaviour at all. The hypocrisy just amazes me, last time i looked assaulting someone was a sin.

i'm A christian, i assum, here, in front of everyone. but i think its ridiculous what the cops do. if there's freedom of speach and opinion, why cant we dress like we want? this reminds me of the ozzy osbourne "suicide solution" thing. when a fan commited suicide when listening to the song and the parents of the guy charged against ozzy... stupid people. we must fight for our freedom!!
